On behalf of the Council and Management, the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU) has resolved to postpone the Corporate Governance general trainings, scheduled for this period and the Corporate Governance Awards 2020 scheduled for 29th May 2020 at Kampala Serena Hotel, and all other engagements on our calendar, as we continue to monitor the current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is in respect to the directive issued by His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda during the state of the nation address on Wednesday, 17th, March 2020 in which he highlighted guidelines on social gatherings and the measures enlisted by Ministry of Health to address the COVID-19.
At the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU), we continue to encourage everyone to uphold all required vigilance and cooperation to ensure the health and safety of our members, sta_ and other stakeholders against the spread of COVID – 19.
Our o_ces on Plot 5, Katego Road – Singapore Business Centre, Kamwokya will remain open for business, until further notice. However, in the meantime, all members and visitors will continue to take precautionary measures displayed or as guided at the entrance.
RESPONSIBILITY and COMPLIANCE are two of the key pillars of Corporate Governance.
The Institute will exercise more stringent measures in same respect if the need arises or as directed by authorities.
