In our efforts to equip individuals with corporate governance best practices, the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda organizes corporate governance trainings for Senior Management, Committee Members, Compliance Officers, Company Secretaries, Audit Professionals, Risk Management Professionals, Change Managers, Accounting Professionals, Procurement Professionals, to mention but a few which take place twice a year.

ICGU Members Interface Gala

The Institute hosted its members to the inaugural member’s interface gala held on 15th November, 2018 at Hotel Africana Kampala.

This gala follows the Inaugural Corporate Governance Awards held on 17th May 2018 to recognize and inspire organizations that uphold corporate governance principles and practices in the Country.

The Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU) specializes in training Boards and senior management in corporate governance practices for sustainability and career growth. With the growing need for practical skills this comes in as the best solution for continuous professional development.

ICGU signs MOU with ULS

The Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Uganda Law Society (ULS) on the 25th May, 2017 at the Uganda Law Society Head Office.

The purpose of this MOU is to formalize a relationship between the ICGU and ULS to enable the two Institutions work together to promote and implement Corporate Governance Principles and best Practice.

The Institute held its 15th AGM on the 18th May, 2017 at Hotel Africana Kampala. At that meeting there were elections where 8 new council members were elected for the available vacant positions.

The AGM was well-attended recording a big turn-up compared to the recent past meetings.

In addition to the current payment modes, this is to introduce to you the ICGU Mobile Money platform for your membership payments. Kindly follow this procedure at your convenience.   For Airtel or Warid, please follow the steps below on your Mobile Money platform;

The Institute held its 14th AGM on 18th May, 2016 at Grand Imperial Hotel, Kampala.

Ms. Christine Kawooya, the Vice President addressed the members and in her opening remarks, she thanked members for their continued kind support to ICGU and encouraged them to bring more individuals and corporate entities on board to increase the Institute’s membership.

Mr. Sam Owori was elected on Tuesday, 9th August, 2016 as the President Rotary International 2018/19 at the Rotary International Headquarters in Chicago, USA.
