ICGU in partnership with Grant Thornton Uganda held the inaugural Corporate Governance Awards on 17th May, 2018 where a number of Organizations from various sectors were awarded for their excellence in Corporate Governance practices and establishing sound/vibrant systems based on good principles of Corporate Governance. These in turn have enabled these Institutions to thrive in their respective sectors and stood to be counted among the promoters of corporate governance. This is now meant to be an annual event that will bring together all Institutions that believe in the gospel of corporate governance to drive and promote it across all other Institutions; both in private and public enterprises.
The revived general corporate governance trainings for Directors and Senior Managers held every after two (2) months on a three-day (3) split training programme that has seen the awarding of certificates in corporate governance training to participants that have successfully completed the full course on corporate governance. We are proud to announce that we have so far passed out two elite groups of corporate governance practitioners who have become our ambassadors within and without their organizations.
